Both sizes of amplifier broadcast the improved signal into your home, office, building or warehouse through an inside antenna. They improve signal quality in rural or remote locations as well as shadowed environments such as steel, concrete and brick buildings. Determining which amplifier is right for your situation depends on how big of an area you are trying to cover and how strong the signal is outside the home or building.

In-Building Wireless 50 dB Amplifiers for Homes and Small Buildings
Wilson's 50 dB amplifiers work only in fixed locations and perform best with a Yagi antenna.
Designed for homes, smaller offices or smaller buildings with signal shadowed environments 50 decibel gain amplifiers require 40 feet of separation between inside and outside antennas (SOHO amplifier requires just 25 feet)

Designed for larger office buildings, warehouses or manufacturing facilities with signal shadowed environments 60 decibel gain amplifiers require 75 feet of separation between inside and outside antennas Gives 2.5 times greater coverage area than a 50dB amplifier.
